In a country like India, where summer is unbearable hot, Wood apple drink or Beler panna or बेल शरबत is ideal drink to beat the heat.

1 Big size wood apple (Bel)
4-6 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp black salt
1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger (optional)
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
one big cup (500 ml) chilled full cream milk

First break the outside harder skin, remove the kernel from the fruit (wood apple).
Now remove the seeds from the kernel, get seedless pulp
Add 4-6 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp black salt, 1/2 tsp chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, one big cup (500 ml) chilled full cream milk.
Whisk well with the help of a hand grinder.
